Bill's blood pressure continues to be an issue. Because of this, he will not have grafting surgery today. He is scheduled for this Wednesday if all goes well.

Infection is also a factor these days. He is still receiving antibiotics for a blood infection. The site where he receives his medicines will be changed to his upper left arm due to infection.

His temperature has returned to normal today and his "Bear Hug" blanket has gone away. His blood pressure is stable since this morning. Yeah!

We are realizing that we have to take things SLOWLY - sometimes hour by hour. It's tough to predict what or how Bill might be doing tomorrow.

He has not been conscious since the night of the accident due to sedation. This will most likely continue for awhile. So, we watch and wonder if he hears us.

  7. Dearest Ryan Family,
Dad just called me to tell me the news---I was floored. John and I were just talking about you (Dawn & Bill) the other day to friends of ours. For the first time I'm (Miss talk-a-lot) is at a loss for words! I love you both soooo dearly (all of you!), as I pulled up the site and got the details I could do nothing but cry and pray! I've known you my entire life and in that time I've always known Bill as this huge tower of strenth. I know Bill and he will pull through this and have a full recovery, it's just going to take strenth, determination, and support---and Bill has all those things. He has a strong will and a family who will be by his side the whole way. Bill is a unqiue man who is loved by so many. I know Dawn you are there right by his side as you have always been---you know from the time I was a little girl to now (a mother myself) you two have always been like two school kids in love and always there for eachother. Bill has all the odds in his favor for a full recovery, with a wife who adores him, Three children who has always loved and admired him, and grandchildren and great grandchildren who think Pa Pa is king. I too adore you Bill and I will pray everyday that godspeed a full recovery. Dawn & Family, just know you too are in my prayers. Bill, "I love you", said the Italian to the Irishmen---" Now listen to those Doctors and get better real soon, so we can tell a few Irish/Italian jokes!!!!!!!!! I love you all!!! Thank you for posting this site so, all of us can keep up to date on his recovery! Please Know you have love and support all over (even here in Florida)---Please let us know if you need anything--ANYTHING!!

  8. Dearest Hog #1

Although progress seems to be desperatly slow, your condition appears nevertheless to be consistently improving.
It is wonderful to read all the comments posted by your so many friends, people whose lifes you have touched, and all this positive energy and prayers will undoubtly help your recovery.
Yesterday we have found frozen blueberries for sale at a supermarket right here in the southern most part of Europe (first time ever), so we had some and thought of you and how wonderful it will be sharing them with you and Dawn at a future ocasion.
    Please get well soon!

    Hogs #2, #3, #4 and Claudia

P.S. Dawn, Nancy, Kerry, Jimmy and the rest of your closest family: Besides Bill you are taking the worst part of all of this, so please do not loose faith and hold on! We love you, we care for you and you are also on our thoughts and prayers.

  9. Hello from the Ganz family. We just learned of Bill's accident and we can't express enough how much we're hoping and praying for a healthy recovery. Having never met Bill, it only takes reading a few comments to know the type of man he is. This obviously reflects and explaines the strong character of his children and grand children. We just wanted you all to know that there are more people praying for his recovery and to offer our help in any way. Please don't hesitate to ask.

  10. Dawn and Bill,

We miss Grampa Ryan and pray for him every day. We know he's a tough guy and can't wait to see him. BTW, tell Bill that the Dune Buggy is working great and the porch looks fantastic. Thank him again for us. Take care.
